Getting to Plakias, Crete

Getting from the airport to Plakias is relatively easy, as the road mostly runs along the north coast until you turn south. You can rent a car, call a cab or take the public bus.

Those traveling to Crete on a long-haul flight usually have to land at a major European airport first, with Athens being the best connected to the island by direct flights.
